A top notch cocktail bar near the Rialto bridge. There is outdoor seating and some seating upstairs. The bartenders are clearly well trained and take care in crafting their cocktails. You will find classic cocktails on the menu as well as fun new inventions. The mixologists are as nice to look at as their drinks are to taste. The prices are reasonable and fun promotional videos play on the tv screens. Try the Hugo Originale. For €4 it might be the best drink I've had in Venice.

We made a pit stop to relax over a couple of drinks. I was happy to see that cocktails are reasonably priced here. Mr. Joy and I enjoyed a negroni and a mojito for 15€. We sat on top of some stools that faced a burnished mirror on one side. I was also happy to see that drinks are served with complimentary chips. Who doesn't like free snacks? Everything was very satisfactory, though I think the cocktails are not especially amazing. The mojito was especially sweet. Nevertheless it is nice to enjoy a drink or two here and do some people watching.

Love it. Inexpensive and each table is given a ham sandwich and chips!!! Great fun. A bit of the path but fun and good cocktails.

Simple, straightforward "bar" ... in the American sense ... with wine, cocktails, and appetizers. For a tourist in Venice, Bussola was easy to understand. Chalk board menu of familiar drinks (e.g., Mojito, Negroni, Old Fashioned). The selection of appetizers ("cicchetti") is somewhat limited, but not simplistic.
Bottom Line: I'm not sure that Bussola is a tourist trap ... the three old guys sitting next to me drinking wine and arguing in Italian (presumably about politics or sports) sure seemed local ... but it was nonetheless easy for a tourist to feel comfortable at. And the Old Fashioned was good. -

Bussola saved us with wifi, wine and great bruschetta! We were left to wait at the Rialto Mercato vaporreto stop for 2 hours, and they helped us, offered a free snack, and fast wifi with our beverage purchase so that we could communicate with our apartment meet-up. It's worth a stop for a nice glass of red, a clean bathroom, wifi, and attentive service!
